Try not to attack each other...

Although we're all adults half of us me included are the same 15 yr old immature ..... at heart. Just try and keep from tough guy talk & bashing to a minimal know I'm opening up a can of worms & since I spend most of my time here when I'm not working.. I'd like to see what a few of you thought. after some comments in Frosty's thread thought i'd fan the fire...

Umm I guess I'll start in response to lance

Going off topic (most unusual here ) If you had a 6'2 scary looking dude bust you in the face, pin you to the ground and start banging your head into whatever was beneath your head and you had a way to stop it, wouldn't you??

Scary is subjective.. I'm 6'3...

You're right I'd probably reach for my gun if I felt I was in danger. Ur damn right!! And wouldn't miss & no speculation: 2 to the mast 1 up top..

I do believe he's supposed to stay in the car... I feel like GZ was working on a slow Sunday & saw a brother walking in between the homes felt chesty & wanted to to prove he could be all he could be in rent-a-cop trim.. The 2 exchanged words TM took exception.... (begining of the end for him.. ) Honestly do we really respect secruity guards.. I don't think TM should have flipped that switch I am sure the scuffle got pretty intense. Whereas GZ reached for his pistol.

My thing is stay in the car with the AC & no one dies...

Only 2 people were there that know the truth of the matter, everyone else is speculating to their bias. Jury (that the prosecution approved of) has spoken, deal with it. The Zimmerman Verdict | Nealz Nuze | www.wsbradio.com

We'll take it to lounge now as to not screw up Frosty's survival thread. That bike is F'd UP! Did you ever say your estimated impact speed?

Agreed, I think the prosecution was fubar from inception. The charge should have been wrongful death or something. To be able to prove that case beyond a reasonable doubt is like thinking your buying a "problem free ducati"

The AG & D.A. are in election cycles I think. to satisfy the constituents in the black community maybe they felt they had to do something. So it was smoke & mirrors anyways. His dad's a judge, 6 female jurors, and all the defense had to do was prove reasonable doubt..In Fla & the victim is black... I mean it's a layup for the defense... It sounds like a movie or something right..

I went to college in FL & lets just say it's still a Dixie state...

I agree with most of what you've said, except 2 significant points:

1. The conversation with the non-emergency dispatcher is taken out of context
2. Why does everyone make it a race issue?

The full conversation with the dispatcher showed that the GZ was continually asked questions of the whereabouts and actions of TM. Everyone focuses on the line "you don't have to do that," but the dispatcher immediately followed up with further questions on TM's locations and movements. GZ was simply trying to provide as much intel as he could in response to his direct link to the police. Every opinion to the contrary is now Monday morning QB'ing, IMHO.

While I can empathize with those proclaiming the race bias here, I think it is ridiculous. I'm not going to go on a diatribe about it, but seriously, if you read the following article and can refute how the author debunks the issue of race, I'd like to see that viewpoint: The Zimmerman Verdict | Nealz Nuze | www.wsbradio.com

Who deserves an apology but will never get one is the Sanford PD. The chief got fired and reputation tainted , and they were labeled racists and framed as persecuting the community, only to be vindicated by the verdict in the trial. They investigated the incident, and deemed it a lawful shooting, which it was. The FBI was involved in the investigation after the brouhaha began, and their investigation showed that race was not a factor (hence why the civil rights suit will go nowhere, Eric Holder and everyone else is just giving the appearance of trying to appease the mobs calling for "justice")

Lastly, my personal opinion since you asked. Since only 3 entities were there during the just over 2 minutes between the phone calls (GZ with Sanford PD and TM with Rachel Jeantel), and one of them is dead and God doesn't answer, we will never really know what happened. I suppose that GZ went to ask TM what his business was in the neighborhood (which I believe he had every right to do), TM didn't react very kindly to that line of questioning/conversation, and a scuffle eventually ensued with the end result we clearly know.

What bugs me now after all this is the furor over changing laws after one highly-publicized incident, thinking that will remove all the perceived racism and bias of the "system." The ignorance of societal issues and how they should be solved, and just plain ignorance make me sick. I wonder if the black community realizes they are using the same mob mentality that was commonly used against them during much of the 1900's. It just proves how much people are equal.

Life can be unfair, .... happens and this was certainly one of those moments. To use it for all the purposes that it is being used for is utterly ridiculous and has clearly set back race relations.

I listened to a majority of the trial on Sirius radio...they got the right verdict. Period.
