So I'm headed to GP Motorcycles tomorrow here in SD after work to get the first service on my Sofia. They quoted me $240 plus some tax on some parts. Not bad since the closer MotoForza quoted me $375.

I asked if they could do me the favor of removing the charcoal canister for me so I don't have to do it and we could call it a "hard-starting when hot issue". They service guy said he can't discuss that with me over the phone then added it takes no added time at all when they have the bike on the lift. LOL, so I hope they do that.

Anything else I should ask about? I was thinking of any engine maps that may smooth out under 4k surging (which I don't really care about), but I've heard there are diff maps out there for some recalls and diff exhausts. Don't think they apply to my '14.

Thanks in advance as usual

Well all went well. They said the charcoal canister should not be an issue anymore, but could not confirm exactly what happened to it haha. We'll see how it goes. Ended being $290 and took almost 2 hours with 2 guys on it.

They said I had an error code saying my muffler valve is stuck open. They said it's not a bad thing but they would call Ducati to see if they can cover it?!!?

Got some good info on some random 1199 info from the service guys which was interesting.

GP Motorcycles is ok if anyone here in San Diego needs a service. Nick, the service manager, was cool.
