Anyone knows if the base model's headlights can be adjusted? I couldn't see any knobs behind the headlights. The manual only shows the LED headlight adjustment knobs.

threaded nut:

Yes, that's what is shown in the manual but on the base model the back of the headlights are different. The 2 knobs shown, I believe are for the S model LEDs.

Anyone care to share?

I don't remember the specific layout as mine's been gone for a while but their's definately a nut to turn to adjust the lights on the base. You might actually mistake it for a nose fairing mounting bolt (another guy here did).

As I recall it was a threaded shaft with a spring loaded nut, you might have to pull of some trim pieces to see it, I just don't remember anymore

Digging this thread out.

Can someone please tell me how to adjust the base model headlight beam?

I have a 2013 1199. The owners manual is useless unless you know where the adjustment bolts are. Any help would be appreciated!

There are adjusters, but you'll have to take the headlight out. The high-beam ones are hidden behind the air conveyor.

To get to the low beam height, you should be able to get to them by removing those rubber plugs to the left and right of the dash...they sit roughly over the bulbs. I don't know how else to describe them except to say they look like where cup holders should be, and they are beer can diameter...on the LED light the heatsink is exposed, but on the base the opening is covered with the plug.

Low beam left and right are behind the air conveyor as well...

EDIT:

On the LED headlight, if you take off the black plastic just forward of the horn you can get to the high beam adjuster. I'd have to look at it again, but you may be able to get to the base high beam in the same way.

I have 1199 Panigale R MY-2013. High-beam shall be adjusted.
I took some photo and bought some flat-head screwdrivers.

You can see a slot under the chin. Use an 8mm spanner to adjust up and down.
You can see a screw thru the headlight-lens. Turn it for right and left to adjust it from its behind.
Remove plastic caps arrowed on the 3rd pic. I inserted a fiberscope to find what kind of screw in it. But unfortunately, left one is covered with a plastic.
The photo in the fiberscope shows a cross head screw. I have to check if it is #1 or #0. A short screw driver with about 60mm of its shaft and its full length shall be shorter than 150mm. I suppose about 100mm will be better.
I'll check it tomorrow.

I found a good screw driver. Its shaft size is dia. 5 x 60 mm long and the grip dia. is 12mm. Its full length is 130 mm shown in the attached photo.
When the grip length is shorter, it'll be easier to adjust the right side.

When you find a cover over the adjustment bolt, give up and disassemble the headlight housing.
