Adding the comfort or racing seat to the 1199 adds height, which for some can make the overall bike height an issue.

Sato racing is the first on the market to provide a -20mm height adjustment, picture attached and ride height adjustment comparison is here :

The height adjuster comes in both gold or black and the part number is D-1199ROD, you should be able to source it from your usual dealers.

Trust this helps.

Nice! Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't there some sort of height adjustment on the Pani already? I'm wasn't entirely sure but I remember reading something about it?

Interested in the Adjuster you posted and wondering how much does it upset the suspension by lowering it.

There is already a height adjuster on the 1199, however this type of adjuster is shorter than the stock one and easier to adjust. It will effect the handling of the bike, usually for the better, however you would use this functional piece of equipment to lower the height by -20mm and thus enable you to place both feet squarely on the ground (which for some is desirable). Remember, many of the handling elements are very tunable on the 1199.

I would highly recommend that if you were to use this smaller adjuster that you have your overall suspension dialled-in at a professional suspension clinic.

Thanks! The bike is still at dealer and I take delivery on the 9th. I did mention my concern for the ride height because stock I tip toe on two and would like to feel more planted at stops or not have to hope off to walk the bike into a spot.

Then again I always heard that lowering it too much upsets the suspension and geometry of the bike so if that's the case I'll just deal with it I guess. :(

Like I said - Take it to a professional suspension clinic.

Ride height adjuster

Theirs one for sale now on eBay £60 please loads more from the guy

Fantastic number plate for uk D1 WSB

Only if the 1199 has electronically adjustable air shocks, when you come to a stop, it deflats and the bike sits like a cruiser.

On top of that, I think a corbin couch seat sounds good too, the one that wraps around your ass, nice and comfy, with a heat shield on the bottom.

Why not add a taller windscreen, and some heated grips.

No adjustment. What it seems to look like adjustment, it is design to change the spring from fix to progressive.

Nice piece by the way.

I know where that one is. The part I was shown from the dealer was behind a little plastic cover that came off. It's on the same side as the F / P selector. I'll try to dig up a pic of it.
