Hi all

Just thought I'd say a quick hello from sunny England. I have had 4 bikes over my riding life. A 97 SRAD GSXR 600, 04 RSVR, 09 675 SE which I still have and will be buried with and now a Shiney 1299s. I fancied more power every now and again so test rode everything except the R1 (as I couldnt get one to test ride as there were none). Although after finally looking at one the mess of plumbing behind the right hand rearset, I decided against one. Could be the best thing ever, but that just put me off!

Very close between a 1299 and RSV4RF But as a previous twin owner the 12 won! I ended up with an ex demo with 675 miles on the clock(that was written in the stars). The bonus being the dealer does accompanied test rides so you never actually get to thrash the thing on a ride. Got a couple of grand off and a partially bedded in bike. Result. Looking forward to see whats on here.

Regards
Dave

Congratulations I bought a new 1199 almost 3 years ago, I still love it, I get a lot of satisfaction just owning it, taking it out and running it hard just never gets old.

Welcome from Canada over here! NIce choice in bike. Rain season here now too.

Hi all,

Desmo, I bought mine from Riders of Bridgewater. Ductape, Yep the good old British weather is starting to take effect. The Pani is all wrapped up and a trickle charger plugged in. She will be on paddock stands soon. The unfortunate thing is im in lincolnshire and the bike is in devon!

That looks beautiful. I loved my RSV it was just too tall for me when stationary. Putting my foot down in to a slightly sunken man hole cover at a set of traffic lights ended up in me falling over! Was a hell of A thing to ride around snetterton on track days. It was Just too damn tall!

My 1199 bought with a 1k on the clock, Im near you from Cornwall, but I get to ride mine up and down the Adriatic coast rather than windy North Cornish coast!

Well my problem is i work in lincolnshire and the bike is currently in devon. Not that I could ride in in lincolnshire at the mo as it is bloody freezing.

Adriatic coast very nice. I take it thats the italian side?
