I really enjoyed the 1098s , but I really think the difference is how each bike delivers their power , the 1098 made more power sooner in the rev rage were the 1199 is very rev happy and are more like a 4 cylinder bike in the way it delivers it power .
One thing I always found hard was to launch the 1098s from standstill , here I find the 1199s is much easier and controllable to launch hard .
Bottom line both the 1098S and the 1199S are great bikes .
But I have now moved on to the 1199S
