Hi Folks!

I'm new to motorcycles(3000 miles in) and new to Ducati (1 week in).

I'm looking at purchasing a StreetFighter V4S (third bike in 3 months!). I would really appreciate any pointers. In particular, can anyone tell me if the 2021+ models use a dry or wet clutch? I've been searching online but can't seem to find anything definitive. Would appreciate any pointers!

If you're in the SoCal area, please PM me. Would love to chat!

Devlaps.

It comes from the factory with a wet clutch. There is a dry clutch conversion kit, but its about $3k.

Thanks @bp_SFV4. I appreciate it. Wet clutch is great for me now. Might look at the dry clutch once i have a few more Ducati miles under my belt.

I'm in Socal (San Diego) but don't really ride for leisure on the street anymore because I'm too damn busy. You might see me around if you go to a track day at Auto Club Speedway or Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. White V4 with american flag wings.

Yeah hit up youpaiyou or Mav for some seat time might have to wait on racingpsaki he doesn't have anything to ride.

Wet clutch is better for street. Dry clutch sounds better and better for track

Thanks rac1ngsnak3! From what I gather, dry clutch has less power loss, sounds great, but wears a bit more. Wet clutch is more durable, but you get some power loss.

Wet clutch is easier to modulate and more durable than dry. But that dry-clutch sound is intoxicating...

Explain the details on that racingpsaki. Spring rate, oil viscosity and the fact the stock wet clutch is not a true slipper. What about throwing in a EVR or a Yoyodine? Please explain all this to everyone.

Good to meet you! Let me know if you’d like to hangout/ride sometime.

Heading in for my 600 mile service this weekend and will be in Bay Area next week. After that, I’m out riding every weekend.
