So I was trying to install the motorcycle fork stem mount for my iPhone from quad lock and dropped a bolt down the centre stem of the steering damper. If I look down the stem I can actually see it at the bottom. Will this cause any harm to the bike if I continue to ride it untill my next service is due or am I better of biting the bullet and taking it to the workshop to get removed. The hardest part is having to try and take a day off work to take it there which means a day of no pay

The stem is hollow so depending on the size of the bolt you might be able to get it to fall through using a piece of wire. Or go to a tool Shop and buy an extendable magnet they are quite cheap. Other than that it shouldn't cause any issues with the bike.

There is a plastic plug at the other end. Simply remove it and the bolt will fall right out.

How’s the phone mount working for you?
I dropped the main bolt. Once I get it out and finish trying to fix it on I’ll let you know mate. It will look as good if it works. Better than most other phone mounts anyways
