Hello,
I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve encountered a small problem with my Ducati 899 Panigale (2014 model year) and I’m hoping to tap into your expertise.
Recently, I relocated the clutch switch to the inside of the front fork. Since then, I’ve been having difficulties with the gear shifting. When the engine is turned off, I can no longer smoothly shift from first gear to neutral. The neutral keeps kicking out, and the first gear engages again. Interestingly, when I start the engine cold with the first gear engaged, the bike moves forward as expected.
Here is the youtube video:
I’m puzzled by this issue and am hoping that someone among you might have an idea of what could be going wrong. Have any of you had similar experiences, or do you have insights into what might be causing this?
Additionally, I’m wondering if a gear reset via software might be necessary. I have Melcodiag, and I’m considering using it for this purpose. Has anyone tried this approach, and could it potentially resolve the shifting issue?
Any tips or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
nightrider899
