Hello guys,

just got the 1199 sport rearsets and I want to fit them myself.

On the instructions Ducati says to use the retinax HDX2 (now Gadus S2 V220 AD2) grease for the bolts.

Unfortunately this grease seems more rare than gold here in Australia, unless you buy in bulk.

Any suggestions on substitutes or where to buy?

Tried internet everywhere and blackwoods sells only in bulk

Hi,

Try this stuff. It appears to have all the same characteristcs. I've used it for years.

Try the local auto parts store. I found a similar grease used for assembly of parts.

new issue

So I have everything in place but the instructions say that I have to remove the gearbox link.

Unfortunately the ....... stupid italian engineer (I am italian and I am an engineer) decided to put the clutch oil pipe right in front of the screw that attaches the link to the selection shaft on the gearbox.

Question: anyone installed the rear sets w/o removing the rod from the gearbox....

any hint appreciated!

I spent 2 hrs swearing at Ducati!
