I managed to trade the Rizoma RRC rearsets for a set of DP Rearsets, they were on a used bike that got traded in. Yes it was a hell of a deal for me but I keep their dealership operational
Right hand side went on with no issues now with the left hand I can see what needs to be done but there is a bolt through the end of the shift rod thingy... yes, a technical term, the pivot point? See pictures, my question is.. does this bolt come out? I mean if I KNEW it's just stuck I can whack it out with a socket and hammer but I didn't want to do that unless I know. Nothing came with this set except the rearsets, I know that new they came with different length shift rods etc so I'm wondering if it comes with one of these? And do I have to get a different length shift rod? Or will the stock work? I'm going with the high position.. I wouldn't mind switching it to gp shift but since I don't even know what I don't have I don't know if this is possible? Also, if anyone has the instructions they could send me that would be great.
I read all the other threads on installing these but none on a 1299, not that different as far as I can see unless this bolt is different on the 1299. I would ask the dealership but they are a new ducati dealer and their head ducati tech was on Vacation, the other tech I ride with isn't as familiar with the DP rearsets.
Any help/hand holding would be welcome
