IMO
this technology is amazing but it is useless- for me.
I almost never use my mirrors for anything other than seeing if the cop I just passed is turning around.
If I'm changing lanes I turn my head and look .
there is a small amount of peripheral glance I get from my mirrors that helps to give me spacial awareness of stupid car cel phone aholes.
having a smart phone screen inside my helmet would be to distracting from what is in front of me.

The potential is there but the approach is wrong. When you look at the HUD it's a module added into a helmet, you can see the bracket/wire.
If you're starting this project from scratch, design the helmet around the concept not the other way around.
Having said that the likes of BMW already have this on their radar and with big budgets and R&D small start ups like this will be blown out of the water.
