Whats the main difference between the 2 valves & 4 valves ducati's

I've got my eye on an S4RS to the stable & just looking for some advice from those who may have owned or have exp... Thanks

2 valves...:D

For real?

There are about a million threads out there that compare the 2 valve and 4 valve engines. Basically, both bikes are very reliable but the S4 is less reliable because there is more that can go wrong. It requires a little more intensive maintanance and more costly maintenance. But the 916 is a very good and reliable engine. Here are some searches that have some interesting results:

Copy paste from a google search.

2 valves = less power

4 valves = a little more

S4RS = nice bike, almost bought one.

rather ask this on ducati.ms

this forum is rather model specific

don't forget water cooled ;)
I bought a new S4RS in 2007 and I still own it.
It's a fun bike that handles well and makes for a good two up bike.

Even on the track :D

Wait for the new 1200 Monster. You won't be dissappointed. I have the 1100 EVO and I like the bike very much. Okay, the stock front fork is a bit mushy but overall a good choice.
