Hey guys,

My name is Chris and I placed a deposit for a Tricolore in November last year, meaning I will be one of the first in line to get one when they arrive in April or May.

This will be my 3rd motorcycle after obtaining my licence, starting with a Honda CB400, then my current ride, a Ducati Monster 659 (basically a detuned 696 with smaller bore). I always loved Ducati's....IMO no other bike has the sound of that amazing L-twin engine. Having said that, I do have a soft spot for Harley Davidson's too...especially the 1200 sportsters.

For me cars and bikes are a passion, I got into motorcycling relatively late in life after over 20 years of owning and modifying performance cars. My current car is a 2009 BMW E92 M3.

Looking forward to reading about everyone else and their passion for bikes...

Welcome Chris.

Ducati's and M-Power cars are a jolly sensible way to feed any petrol addiction :)

I currently drive more sedate BMW's, after having had a good play with the M range.

Back in 2003, I was lucky enough to have this little beauty, while taking a Ducati-break:

Hi Chris, Welcome mate. I am sure you are going to enjoy riding a superbike after your monster, if you havent already.
I am up in Northern NSW and also have a Tricolore on order...cant wait:D

Nice to see that cars AND bikes get loved. Some bike magazines seem to foster an underlying hatred of anything with 4 wheels on the "2 wheels good, 4 wheels bad" philosophy.

I like them both, always have. Have an R36 in the garage - practical and can be exhilerating, even though it does reek a little of "family sporting mature age bloke" ... my son's worked out that its the fastest/best/most powerful legal car for a P plater under the NSW legislation. And that's why he only drives HIS car !!!

With the tricolore (mine's ordered in Sydney) what are other Aussies ordering as accessories/options?

@ XBox.....very nice example of an E46. Love the CSL rims.

Thanks. I sold the Cups and chucked on some Bridgestone's before it left the dealership, but they were utter crap. P-Zero Nero's after, which were ace.

Cups were like driving on blocks of wood!!

I agree, I love both 2- and 4- wheel machines equally. That includes bicycles too.

I have ordered the fender eliminator kit as well as the carbon rear guard for my Tricolore.

NP :p Thanks for getting back to me - it still looks ace!!

Have you seen Frozen Grey .... its amazing

I have, I like it. Loving my car, but looks wise, I might even like the version you had better. When I see one of those on the road I always do the long stare as it's going away like when I see a Ducati, haha.
