Hi everyone,
I'm picking up a '12 Base w/ABS tomorrow afternoon and could not be more excited! Found the bike in Lexington, got a fair deal, and will be riding it back to Cincy via the "backwoods". Should be about a 2.5 - 3 hour adventure with stops to take pics and twiddle around.
I have to make note that I was inspired to make this leap by "The AntiHero"! Reading about his adventures and philosophical musings stirred up great emotions in me. Time to enjoy my life and the freedoms that we all can have should we choose to throw off the self imposed shackles!
I don't know that I'll take a 6mo journey around the country, but I'm certain that I'll enjoy riding and tracking this two wheeled work of art for quite a while!
I'll post up a ride report this weekend. Hell, I may even get my 600 miles in over the next 3 days! It's going to be beautiful around here--finally!
BTW, Lexington Motorsports has at least 2 leftover S's and a base all with ABS if anyone is looking for a great deal in this region.
