Greetings from Elsewhere
I had my first ride on Ducati a few days ago on a 1299 S demo bike from the local dealership. I absolutely loved it.

I've been riding bikes for a long time and I currently own a Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (also known as 1000sx).It's a great bike bike it's a little on the bland side so I've been looking around for something a bit more exiting to add to the stable. I was lined up to buy a Kawasaki H2 but I'm very tall and once I sat on it I knew the ergo's are completely wrong for my long legs.

So I started looking around at other bikes that I'd like to own as a second bike, I'll keep the Kawasaki as a main daily commuter.

I think the 1299 is the best sounding bike I've ever heard. It is also the best looking bike around and that quick shifter rocks too. The ergo's are pretty good for me, way better than I expected.

However, after reading about all the leaking coolant and oil issues I am a little worried that there is an inherent issue in these engines ?!!!!!

Anyways
Cheers from elsewhere:D

Welcome mate!
Don't get a wrong impression from reading forums, they are a place problems are often more discussed than the good things. The Pani IS a crazy cool bike! IMHO not more problems than any other superbike brand.

And the sound....... well don't tell "speedy" on this forum :)
Ask "Phl" for further improvements!

Welcome to the forum.

You will love the seat warmer on the 1299 coming from Canberra.

As Gecko said you will get a concentrate of issues on this forum but generally the bikes are brilliant. I have just moved up from a 1199s to the 1299s and I still can't believe how much they have been able to improve it.

Waiting to put the Akra on at first service so I am sure the grin will be bigger again!

Good luck on the decision.
