I just did some mods, including removing the Charcoal Canister because I was having frequent hard starts (albeit only when trying to start it up after about 20 minutes of leaving it off). I noticed that it now makes a slight hissing when left alone after riding, took the fairing off and its in fact the breather hose that used to be connected to the canister and now sticks towards the bottom of the fairing, letting the gas vapors out. After the bike cools off (about 20 minutes) it stops making noise.
It actually makes sense that I was having hard starts, the canister was probably filling up while the bike was still hot and screwing up the starting.
So far so good with starting up the bike.

Do you think you have a partially clogged hose/vent somewhere? Sounds like something trying to get out/in but the flow is restricted somewhere causing the hissing.

Also, check for snakes and other cold blooded reptiles near the heat shield, exhaust, and head area. Reptilian populations have heard about the heat problem and if there isn't a decent sunny rock around they may use our bikes to maintain body temp.

With my bad eyes in a dark bar, I thought this said "missing Panigale", and I was like OMG, WTH, and so on....

PS 5 o'clock somewhere..

just to make sure, when you took the canister off, you capped the one line leading to the throttle bodies and left the vent tube open?

I've never had the hissing, it seems odd, as someone suggests perhaps the vent line is kinked?

Yea i plugged the other line.
When I heard it i took the bottom fairing off and it defenetly is the drain hose ( when i would plug it it would stop the noise) making the sound, its very faint obviously not audible other than in the garage. Another thing i noticed is that when i opened up the tank cap it would make the noise stop as well, so it does have to do with pressure in the tank.
So the hose is venting but maybe its a bit constricted, will keep my ear on it.
Bikes running great though.

you've got two vent hoses on the tank, I'm guessing you've routed the one from emission canister alongside the other one? I'd pull the fairings and check for kinking as you shouldn't have any hissing unless one or both lines is at least partially kinked, likewise with the canister removed you shouldn't have any pressure build up in the tank now.

alright, pulled faring, moved the hose around a bit, didnt find any kinks, its not hissing anymore, but I can still hear a faint noise, like the sound of a boiler (but less loud obviously), kind of like a low hum or blowing sound, its obviously vaporized gas exiting the hose I know, and it only happens when its hot.
Anyways, another thing; maybe its the rizoma rearsets I installed when i removed the canister, but I could swear that the quickshifter seems smoother now (without canister), I think I read somewhere on this forum someone else mentioning this as well.
