I think it's you :D

Looks much more like a BMW K1300S sprinkled with some CBR1000RR.

now that I watched the video, obviously the single sided swingarm screams ducati but they've had that for a while too just not in their flagship sportbikes, and this isn't one. but coming around the corner, the headlights and front fairing DEF look a LITTLE like the Pani's front end. has similarities at a glance.

upper fairing shape - similar
headlight nose - similar
air intake position and shape - similar
lower fairing curve (radiator area) - similar
lower fairing side (minimalistic shape) - similar
upper to lower fairing split line - similar

yep. agreed. lol

+1 - looks like a Pani to me. It even has heated grips too! I bet it doesn't burn your legs and is easy to pilot at slow speeds in traffic too.

I have to say, that thing is pretty ugly.
the design looks like it went backward several generations

I do notice a very vague resemblance at some angles. Nothing alarming.

It's not like they haven't done that before, RC51.

I didn't find the RC51 a copy of the 99X series. It was a racing homologation special (with pretty good production numbers) at a time when SBK rules favored the 1,000 cc twins. The RC51 was Honda's racing answer to the 99X series and a good one at that. No one who was following the series will forget Colin Edward's two world championships on that bike, especially the nail-biting 2002 Imola race that decided that championship.

The 99X was the far sexier bike, then and now.

Stop, you're making me miss my 51! Never should've sold that thing...

But you're right; the only similarity was a 1000cc 90-degree twin. in the middle. Nothing else even closely resembled the Duc of the day, it was a completely different approach.
