Well, as of today I am now a furloughed employee of the great Government system. Just curious how many other fellow members are in this sinking boat with me here?

Best of luck to all of you who are with me in this mess. I truly wish these idiots on both sides of the aisle would take the damn chip off their shoulder long enough to do what is best for the entire country.

Yeah I know, religion, politics, and now these days sexual preference are supposed to be off limit topics of discussion.

Well, no furlough for me being active duty, but as one I'm not getting special duty pay, sea pay and submarine pay, as well as the reenlistment installment that should be close to 10k... So my pay has been reduced by about a third

Am not effected but this still sucks big time for the once that are effected and I hope it will end very soon.

The once that are cracking up jokes about the situation should do some thinking and imagine how they would feel if they would be effected by this crap.

Sorry to hear that Gunny i hope you return soon. I hope they get there act together. They act like little kids "Im going to hold my breath until I get my way" mean while they are affecting people lives. The best reform this country need is going back to a true democracy where the people runs the country and not the Government or Corporations.
