How to change riding modes?

Would someone please outline the process for changing riding modes on a Multistrada V2S? Pressing ENTER when I have my chosen mode highlighted takes me into the customization menu; but it doesn't change modes.
 
If it’s like the Pani/SF V4 which is likely then you have to hold enter to select the mode.
