A new 950SP is about $20k all in cost, I can pick up a 939SP with 2k miles for $10500. I know Ducati made a lot of changes for the new bike but its essentially the same engine but with a different torque curve and an extra 4hp.

Is the new bike worth the extra S10k? Anyone ridden both?

I'm cheap. 939 is good enough for me.... especially since i only care about the looks anyway n they both look the same! That 10k could go into mods or stay in my pocket!

not ridden either i really like the look of the new 950SP but not 9.5k more.

The Husky 701 is also worth a look if you want a supermoto type bike.

My buddy has a 939 SP and that engine is fun as hell. It's a small bike and extremely nimble, but I'm not a fan of the seating. It definitely pinches a bit of the inner thigh, at least for me and I didn't find gripping the tank as seamless as the new 950 SP.

Mind you the new 950 SP, I only sat on it, but seating feels more comfortable and the tank shape is much better and has a nice curve for your leg/knee to grip in to.

Bar position feels a bit more outward away from the body, and feels like a more natural relaxed position that the 939 SP as well.

$10k is a lot, but even with the quibbles listed, I'd still pick up a 939 SP for the money.

I traded my 939 SP in for a 950 SP and it is miles better. The throttle is way smoother, which is key for me. The 939 was hard to modulate at low speeds and made for an unpleasant experience, in my opinion. The 950 solves that 100 percent.
