Damn man, that sucks. Good to see you're doing ok. 1199R next?!

Yeah wrist and ankle hurt like a bitch but nothing broken.

Not sure if I'll be getting another bike immediately, might just call it quits for this season. I did 8500kms in 4 months anyway, it was a well used Pani. I see an R in my future though :D .

Whew, you dodged a big one right there in terms of potential injuries! Glad you're OK and sorry about the bike. Nice 6-pointer, BTW. You should get him mounted to commemorate the event and be sure to savor the backstrap. Got some good recipes for you if you need.

Time for an HP4! Hahaha

Only the comp model shall be accepted as an 1199 replacement.

sorry about the deer and the bike......

glad you're okay!!!

surprising that your eye got bruised....and strange how a cluster of accidents just happened out of nowhere.....

ps a friend of mine once hit a deer and i asked him how he managed not to go down; he said, "i accelerated right through the damn thing!"

as others have said...glad you're relatively ok.

be well,

oof, glad you aren't banged up more than that. When you feel up to it we'd love more details!

Sorry to hear about your accident and I trust you recover quickly.

There are better ways to get that Arai sticker off your helmet. PM sent. :D Seriously, that could have been a disaster, very glad you came through relatively unscathed.

.... sorry to hear man....
Good to see your still kicking around.

Glad to see your humor and health are intact. Get well soon Frosty!

Damn Frosty I come back from a ride to read this news???.... Awesome you're not injured dude....

RE: Arai, those things always seem to shed their visors in a crash. I don't know if its the side-pod design or what, but they seem to more often than not leave their rider without a face shield in the middle of a crash.

Most recent other high-profile example:

Dani Pedrosa CRASH SACHSENRING GERMANY MOTOGP 2013 - YouTube

At least it apparently did its main job and kept your gray matter together...

I've seen just as many other brands lose their visors. I've never had mine pop, even with a direct hit to the pod.

THat's also a pretty hard hit to the dome, one of their design features is the shell and I imagine it flexes and causes the shield to pop.
