PIR Friday, Ridge Saturday n Sunday....

Bravo Ducati! What a bike! I loved:

Seeing the speedo go blank at 185 on PIR's front straight...and still pulling!

Pulling R1's, my buddy's HP4, basically everybody on the straights...and having them stop by after the session to comment!

Matching an H2 (ok...that was T-Hill)...twice-

55 deg lean angle and playing with juuuust breaking the rear loose on the drive out

Powering out of corners with the front floating off the asphalt (while Brent's R1 would slam back down)

Blasting down the straights with the front floating...through 5th/6th gear

Blipping down so smoothly...automagically

The lustful comments in the pits (Don't really care...but it's a special bike!)

Riding the s$!# out of it, it's so much fun!

I love this bike!

The 15 R is a special bike and an elite track/race bike. I really don't think anything out there can match it.

Awesome! Sounds amazing and like a lot of fun! How does it compare to the 14' 1199S..any comments? I love my bike which has full termis and racing RB on it but I have thinking about getting the 15R or the 1299S. Still trying to decide.

did we hit all of the bikes that are better than the ducati? lets see the hp4 / 15 s1000rr and the new r1. hmmm h2 now also? i guess nobody knows if the h2 is better as it never was compared. might as well say it all

the 15r is the best bike ever made on the planet. doesnt matter make or brand or what every comparison test says its the best.

must be chaz davies won 2 races in a row.

Mark: Just felt like sharing after an awesome 3 days! I don't care which is "better"...I just like the R! YMMV-

Great to see a few people actually using these for what they were meant to be used! Too many sit in the living room!

Mark,
Try lugging that 525lbs bike around a track and tell me that you will do faster lap times on it than a modern day superbike. Its in a different class like the Busa/Zx14. It was compared, even our own member Jarel took it on a track.

Lets see the MCN review had the Ducati Panigale S the second fastest lap time (+.71) behind the R1. If you ever rode the 1299 S you will note that its really not setup for a track/race bike like the 2015 R is. The R power band/curve is totally different it is strickly a track/race bike curve and Im sure it will blow the 1299 S away on the track. I had the oppurtunity to ride the R and R1 I think the R is a faster bike period. But which one is better? I dont think anyone since this post said any bike is better. In my post I meant faster on a track. Better is subjective and personal.

Finally, someone else who gets how good this machine is!!

What is really frightening is how easy you can hit that 185...

I love your enthusiasm for the "R". What kind of lap times are you getting at Thunderhill? Curious as to how it compares to an older "R" that a buddy of mine rides in AFM competition.

Cheers and keep the reports coming.

Mr Alaska fantastic you are ridding hard like it's supposed to be. That's great to hear confidence inspiring. You own all my favourite bikes and if funds allowed I'd have the tricoloured and the 15r too! Your missing the Scrambler though it's a hoot love it
