After a long stressful week of work and pressure here and there from everybody, after work I decided to go out for a little cruise to blow off some steam and the stress that is build up inside of me. I went home got my gears and off I go. While on the bike I realize I was a little heavier on the gas than usual, but I didn't care because I wasn't happy today (bad idea). Every gear I went thru was well over 14k rpm, going in and out of curves like a brainless maniac, then came this one dark narrow left turn, leaning low steady gas but it felt wrong the moment I entered that turn, as if the bike was telling me something bad is about to happen and bam, it happened so fast that all I remember was I hit the floor hard with my shoulder and helmet and the bike kept sliding far away from me. Why it didn't hurt at all?
Could it be because I am so nervous that I don't even feel the pain?
I got up to my feet and moved my legs... they're okay, then ran to my bike, had to use my superhuman strength to lift it up. I pushed it to the side to avoid being hit by oncoming traffic because it was really dark. I sat back on it... looked at the bike and I felt guilty for all this. Got the bike started and rode to a safe place with lights to check out the bike. Nothing happened the bike?! can't be! So it turns out that as far as the gixxer slid, it was just sliding on the frame slider! As for myself, my poor gears took all the beating that why I didn't feel any pain, only my knees were scraped because I went with jeans instead of
my riding pants :(
The main reason I wrote this long boring story of me falling is that I
hope every rider always wear proper riding gears,
every single gear has it purpose, wear them all! You never know when
it can save you.

I think a point would also be, don't ride in that state of mind, I'm Glad you or someone else was not hurt. ride safe man

Glad to hear you and your bike are ok. Thanks for sharing.

By the title I was hoping you got a "nooner" :D Glad you and the bike are relatively unscathed.

Actually, if he "went down" doesn't that mean that someone else would have been getting a nooner?

Sorry for the crash OP. Sounds like your lesson was a fairly cheap one.

Thanks guys, woke up to check my gears and happy to find that only the screen was scraped on my favorite Corsair helmet and nothing was ripped on the jacket only shoulder
protection pad was dented and scratched a little. I should be ok to ride again today,
but sure will be riding like a normal human and not like a daredevil.

Don't look at me!

Maybe next time you should weigh out what's more important before you go riding like a "brainless maniac"

Glad to hear you are ok. Thanks for sharing and for providing an appropriate reminder for safety considerations.
