something else to wonder about. Why does Karel Abraham still on the grid. He's running 1:32.4 on GP16, Jack Miller, never touch the Ducati before did a 1:30.6

very excited about Aprilia and KTM next year, hope they can mix it up in the top 5.

It seems Zarco likes the 2017 bike.
Johann Zarco

Position: 2nd - Time: 1'30.389 - Laps: 53

“I am happy and I like the new bike. I started on the 2016 YZR-M1 that I rode this year in order to get some references and a feeling on the first run. Then I tried the 2017 version and overall, I have a good feeling when I am braking which is important. When you start the race, to have more control like this on the brakes means you can fight in a better way so I am pleased. I went for a fast lap on new tyres and I’m not far from my qualifying time on Saturday, but only one-tenth slower. However, I am using less energy on the bike so for me, testing the new bike was very positive.”

KA daddy owns the race team and the track that motoGP races on i think its assan. that would explain why he is still there.

I’m pretty sure I read you (Mark) were leaving the forum now it’s the off season :D

We all got a bonner when Vinales did the same thing on the M1 last year after he jumped from Suzuki...... that didn’t really work out as most people expected.

Early days....

ok first its been raining since sunday here in south florida and i did not anticipate that or all the tissues needed after the race.

second vinales did do the same thing however does this make you scratch your head at all be honest.
the original 2017 Yamaha worked perfectly with the original softer version of the Michelin. do we agree here as maverick dominated testing and won 3 of 5 races.
the tire was there for 16 till it magically disappeared because jorge was dominating pre season with it.
come to 2017 with Lorenzo gone, Rossi actually asked for a softer Michelin as a way to foil Marquez as marquez prefers harder tires as he breaks very hard. it worked at the start where Yamaha were clearly ahead of Honda and Ducati. then what happened? Rossi didn’t anticipate Vinales instant speed. The Yamaha was pretty much perfect do we agree here?
the engineers have delivered for years. Tire 070 took care of all that, and it did it’s job perfectly even if Yamaha are now behind because it has put Rossi back as the go to rider for development.

could this be true you tell me?

thats it brno i knew it was one of the tracks. ABR that you see on the side of the ducati is abraham racing. i mean if i owned the yankees i would be in center field .

I'm a bit late chiming in

I'm going to make a small assumption and say that Karel rides a MotoGP bike better than you play Major League outfielder.

BTW, Daddy (Karel Sr.) doesn't just own Autodrom Brno, he owns Cardion (Czech biomedical company). Yes, they have a lot of money, which I believe Karel stands to inherit. He doesn't have to work or do anything else for that matter. Yet he studied and got his degree while racing the season a few years ago, because he doesn't expect things to be handed to him. He'd rather earn them.

From what I understand, Karel Sr. subsidizes the the cost of the Brno round because the expenses outweigh the profit, something to the tune of $2 million Euro IIRC with no assistance from the government though he brings a shitload of money to the Brno area in August. Without him and his efforts, we'd likely have one less round of MotoGP.

Judging by some of your posts, you seem to be relatively new to GP/MotoGP. If I happen to win big at the lottery, I would buy and finish the Balatonring. And guess what, if my son, who is named Hayden-Rossi by the way, wants to go MotoGP racing, you will see nepotism at it's finest. Send your dad my way; maybe I can talk him into buying the Yankees

Lights the blue touch paper and retires to a safe distance..

Lol, I ain't scared. I've been going to GP's---> MotoGP since 1988 (yes, I'm an old fart) and have had friends who own/manage a team or work for factory teams for over a decade. Anyone who can dismiss Rossi as he does is either new, ignorant, or perhaps related to Gibernau or Biaggi lol
