Hey guys,

i have a Panigale 1299S. When i listen the sound of elder Ducatis, like 998 or ST4 and compare with the Pani, i recognize a difference in the sound.
Their crankshaft had a longer stroke, wich caused a deeper sound, with a lower frequency.

I thougt if lowering the idle speed with tuneboy, might help to bring back the classic Duc sound.

Has onyone tried this yet.
What is the minimum idle speed, you can go with in daily life?

Greetings Panimike

You're trying to get the sound at idle to change? How often do you plan on spending time in idle anyway? I would think 1200-1500 range would be standard. Anything lower n it would probably stall with those heavy ... pistons.

Can you change idle with Tuneboy? Id rather have slightly higher idle as to possibly lessen the occasional stalling.

Unless you can modify the map (.dat) file Tuneboy uses, I don't see being able to use it to change your idle speed. I'm not aware of anything in the trim (.trm) files to do this as well.

He can't. He is in Germany. Pretty strict when it comes to exhausts. It basically sucks.

Panimike, do what I wrote you. Let
Me know if you have any questions.
