Can we please have a "I'll take it" rule like there are in the firearms forums I frequent. That way it's pretty clear who responded to what when. Works pretty nice for both buyers and sellers.

If you want to buy something that has been posted you need to reply to the thread with "I'll take it". Priority goes to that reply regardless of PM's.

If you post "I'll take it" you bought it. Questions should have been asked prior to posting "I'll take it". No tire kicking. If you make it a habit of backing out after posting "I'll take it" you get banned from the classifieds.

Just a thought...what do you guys think?

That's incredibly dumb. Countless people post "I'll take it" then never pay. How about we let the seller and individual buyers work out who gets the item. For me it's who pays first. I'm not a Walmart, I don't have will call, I won't hold items without payment just like nearly every other seller. We don't need more "rules" or regulations.

Why the hell would you want to make it complicated? Clearly you're salty because you probably missed out on a good deal some day. You sound like the type that needs big gov to get through life.

But I digress.

Who's salty? Jeezus. Relax dude. It works very well on other classifieds forums that's why it was a suggestion. It's nothing new that I came up with because I need my hand held, it was actually in response to seeing other people miss out on various items and question who responded first. I'm not seeing the complication here. Way to throw insults though...that's always nice.

I kinda sorta have to agree with this guy. The "i'll take it system" would be perfect if every member were upstanding and honest but we all know thats far from it lol When i sell something online i dont take it off until its been paid for or i have a deposit. EVERY single thing ive sold online ive had the "i'll take it" line used and sure as .... they dont show. Ive had guys literally say theyre on the way and then no show lol

Yeah I guess the difference is in the other forums they ban your ass if you flake so you better be sure you want it if you reply. No games, I guess that's what I like about it. Plus if I'm selling something I don't have whoever didn't reply in time questioning my integrity that someone else was first. It's pretty clear who was first.

I'm assuming this is partially being brought up in regards to a recent FS thread that I was in. I messaged the seller asking the brand of the item, he responded right away. I then said I would take it. This is all within 10 mins or so. He was online so I even opened PayPal in another tab and logged in waiting for his address. I don't hear from him for a day and then see him answering questions about the same item. I'm thinking dude, I said I'd take it yesterday. I never got a reply and it's pretty clear I was first.

Whatever. I actually already had one in the mail and was just going to return it. I can tell you that I'll never do business with him.

Whenever I said, "I'll take it", I'll take it. It's my rule. To others, it might be arguable.

In some other Forums they have a Buy and Sell feedback thread so Buyer and seller leave a Positive or negative feedbacks respectively . It works pretty good since you keep track of your items being sold, bought, arrived, Condition, etc, etc. My point of view.
