Going to post pics soon.

Bike has 1580miles on it now. 1199S/ABS

I was out riding all day and notice oil on my left exhaust can under the main drive gear. Not a leak but the little rubber gaurd has been building up residue from chain old chain lube and this mess drains out onto the can which in turn just looks like ass over time. have too make sure the rubber cup thing is cleaned up good now.

I noticed when inspecting the air box the spark plug was pinched between the tank and rubber seal. the seal is messed up now and there was not a good seal to start with! upon looking closer I noticed leaking fuel on the main fuel fitting (white plastic material) I need to remove the tank to inspect this area closer. I think the was an upgrade fitting made of alloy somewhere on this forum?

Very small leak around the bottom of the oil filter. oil is dark so I will change it myself and install the full Termi system soon.

I noticed small amount of oil around the breather tube on top of the rear head left side?

I have a feeling its pretty wet in side the air-box? there is oily/fuel residue on the bottom of the tank which is basically the roof of our air-box.

The 4k-5k flat spot only happens for me in second gear in race mode, did not notice it in wet mode. This could be inaccurate as its just what I noticed.

With all this mess, I still had an awesome time riding the bike today to say the least. Hope to get all this stuff sorted out soon. Any ETA on manuals?

inspect your bikes closely and often guys its your ass in the end.;)

That's garbage, thanks for the heads up Glad it's not any worse. I'll be cracking my airbox open next week, I can only hope I don't see the abortion you just described.

What is it that actually causes the flat spot? I consistantly get it in 2nd gear between 3.5k and 4k revs. It sounds like it drops back to one cyclinder or something.

I think its the exhaust valve and mapping

Wondering what I will see when the tank comes off  Im not sure its normal to have garbage in there (residue)

ducs typically have a drain hose in the air box and usually a very tiny amount of oil will at times ooze out that drain. Iv'e never seen a significant amount in any of my ducs, it always pools at the bottom of the airbox away from the filter, at least on the streetfighter and mts1100.

Build up of chain lube, a common problem on ducs with the slave cylinder rubber bellows. You might consider going to the dupont silicone chain saver spray lube. Much less gunk and it wears better, you don't get nearly the build up of conventional lubes or chain way.
