Ok so I installed my shifter side first it came gp shift. The bike will not shift through the gears correctly. Can anyone please help? Was I supposed to adjust the linkage rod I didn't think I had to touch it. I left it the way it was stock.

Yeah, you have to adjust the rod end since the GP shift location would be off from the stock shift location. I have Lightech R's on my 1199 S.

Is their anyway you could be more specific. It looks like if I adjust it out it will hit the swing arm. When you installed yours how did you make the adjustment in or out? I also read on the thread someone turned the rod on the transmission spline. Any information you can give I will greatly appreciate!

I do realize this subject has been talked about on the forum I did look on the forum for what I need to do but I can't find anything concrete! If someone could please tell me exactly how I make the a adjustment on the linkage rod I would great fully appreciate it.

My setup. Same rearsets. GP shift. The shift rod length from bolt center to bolt center is 220mm. The screw by the swingarm is a Ti button head to clear the swingarm. You can see the orientation of the shift rod link on shift rod. Pretty straight forward. I included the brake side as well.

You don't want to run your wire from your QS like that. That wire should extend down the rod a bit and get a zip tie and then run back. That's asking for a broken wire from fatigue.

The bike is in the Neutral position? Measure center of Ti button bolt to center of Ti bolt the total length of the rod should measure 220 millimeters? How did you wire up the brake switch?

Yes that is what the total length of the unit (QS, rod, rod ends) center of rod end to center of rod end is on what I am running. Now that is going to depend on where your shift lever falls which depends of preference of course. I make my own rods so I mock everything up and then machine the rod to fit as I do not like exposed male rod end threads. 220 will get you in the ball park. If it does not and your long, you can cut to fit. If your short then its new rod time. On the brake, I have a custom banjo fitting that Spiegler makes that has a micro switch in the fitting. Its on the ABS pump fitting to the rear line. There are many other ways of doing it. Easiest is probably a banjo switch. My rear brake set up is no where near stock. I just showed it for reference.
