Hi All,
I am looking to install escort 9500 radar detector on Panigale 1299.

My requirements for this project:

1. Radar detector will be installed "permanently", that is I will not be removing it as I park bike at the parking lot or garage.

2. It has to be mounted secure.

3. I need to install is such a way it is not clearly visible to bystanders, thus does not attract attention to be stolen. Installing it in the center cap or anywhere by the windscreen / break fluid cylinders is not an option.

4. I need to be able to get immediate audio alert to my Sena bluetooth system in the helmet.

Here is how I am planning to install and configure it.

I have been looking over the bike, trying to figure out where I can find a space to install radar securely and still meet all my requirements. I found two screws under nose headlight fairing headlight, and I believe I could cut a custom mounting bracket to hold radar in place. Bracket could be installed under headlight fairing and mounted by two existing screws under the fairing. (picture attached) Then, I will run power wire from radar to bike battery. As for audio notifications, radar has 3.5mm plug, I will connect TaoTronics Wireless Portable Bluetooth Transmitter to a radar, then pair it with my Sena system in my helmet.

Am I making it too complicated? Is there an easier way to install it?
