Hi all I just wanted to introduce myself and my girl, 2013 1199 ABS. I bought her at the beginning of the summer with 900 miles on it and nice red paint, got her for a steal. We've had our ups and downs including 1 deer hit and 1 low side but both times I've fixed her up myself and kept on riding.

Here she is

I've run into a recent problem lately with the fork seals. I've been riding on blown fork seals pretty much all summer because I simply didn't have the money to do them. They are the marzocchi junk forks and I can't seem to get the outer tube off of the inner tube. I've removed the entire fork cap, damper rod, and spring. Literally everything on the fork has come off and i'm down to the dust seal, the fork seal, the outer tube and the inner tube. For some reason the outer tube does not want to come off and keeps getting stuck at the top of the inner tube. It seems like it is by design because it is consistent and keeps hitting the inner fork seal that also needs changing. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Mr Purple.
Call your local dealer re your forks, but I am sure someone on here will help out.

Welcome to the forum! That's a beautiful bike you have. I responded to your post in the other marzocchi thread. Check out the video I posted there. It's not specific to marzocchi but a lot of the steps are the same, particularly when he removes the outer tube. That process is exactly the same. Good luck!

Remove the dust seal, Under it there is a seal retainer clip that needs to be removed. Two screw drivers will pop that out. Once it is removed you can pull the inner and outer fork tubes apart. Might take a little sliding force.
