I've sold my Hypermotard 939 and am now considering a DesertX for mostly on-road and paved travel, with occasional short off-road rides near home. My dealer has 2024 DesertX models (white) for €16,000. They also have a used DesertX with 800km for €18,000 and another used one with 10,000km for €14,000 (no extras).
I'm torn between the higher-mileage used one (€14,000) and the low-mileage used one (€18,000). Is the €4,000 price difference justified?
I'm planning a trip to Tunisia and the desert next year, so any recommendations for that would be appreciated. Also, is the DesertX powerful enough for two people? I'll be taking my girlfriend on a trip to the Dolomites this year. Thanks for any advice and insight.
