Although all issues are concerning the righthand turn signal, my left hand turn signal on the rear side and the brake light does not seem to work anymore.. (Pani 1299-S - 2016)

Anyone recognizes the same issue?

on the com. works but replaced it for the OEM and same problem.

Seems there is no voltage on the wiring for the left turn signal

make sure the wires under the seat area are connected and not pinched..

I will double check that (although they are mounted by my dealer..). Do you think one of the turn lights not working (only in the rear) has affect on the stoplight as well?

I did notice a lot of issues with the turn signals on the 1199 (incorrect harness etc) Did these issues came up for the 1299 as wel at your knowledge?

I cant see the signal affecting the brake light as they are 2 separate wire hooks.. hell the right and left signals are different wires hooked up separately..

I have a 1199 and have never had the issue.. I also havent read it on the 1299 either though..

Let's hope it's not a cpu issue? I have seen a 899 with an indicator problem, owner thought it was simply a globe.
Unaware of the bus system and low voltage led turn lamps, it was diagnosed as the cpu, it only affected the right front indicator, the bike was just out of warranty and cost the man around 1000 USD to get sorted. (1 x cpu later)
The break lights and turn signals on the 1299 use small delicate male/ female plugs and they do go in very firm, under the tail section. My concern with this was the long wires when I shortened the tail to bring my number plate into the same picture as my bike, number plate holder houses the turn signal and plate illumination, instead of cutting the wires and re fitting the plugs I retained the Oem plugs and managed to push back the extra wiring.
The system is polarity concious so do check carefully when checking although the Oem plugs are a one way fit only, but certainly not quality plugs, let's hope your have just vibrated lose?

found the OEM plugs and indeed one of the wires came loose.. Now we're down to the brake light which is not working..

maybe better to solder these connections instead of those stupid OEM plugs?

No.. Undo the black wire plug on the same wire bundle and blow it out with a compressor or compressed air and put a small amount of dielectric grease in it and see what it does..

Going to try that for sure.. but should it be (like in a car) that by normal running light one connector should get voltage and by breaking at least two out of three connectors should get voltage?

Yes.. But it may just be dirty or a bit wet inside..

My 1199s (2012) had a similar issue. It happened when the engine temp went up to 190F and the heat affected the cable and connection. It was solved using an extension cable.

Now I'm riding 1199s (2014) and the similar malfunctioning bothers me. I don't have an issue with left turn signal but lower arrow key is not working properly. I will stop by a dealership and get checked.

Hope it helps.

Cheers!
