My neighbor, who rides a Harley that has every conceivable piece of chrome ever made on it, wears a chrome half helmet and a bandana around his face, told me today that guys who ride Ducatis are mostly posers.

In reference to another thread, this is one reason why I don't wave at guys on Harleys.

the fact that harley man is himself a poser doesn't take away from the veracity of his statement

everyone's a poser to some degree, unless they're SKK motogp racers

Just ask him to follow you on a mountain road and see if he can keep up.

I have had similar experiences... including a Harley guy asking me "when I was gonna get a proper bike???"

At least we put thought into being Ducati riders with the proper gear. All you have to do to be a Harley rider is dress like a pirate. Lol

Agreed. I can't deny that I enjoy seeing other guys ogle my bike whilst I am hanging out at Starbucks. And the ladies (hell, even some guys) want a ride. But I got the bike because it is an AMAZING piece of technology, sexy as hell and goes really, really FAST. To me the true posers only bought for the "Starbucks

" factor.

Disclaimer (in case the DOJ or IRS are watching): I have nothing against Starbucks and am a faithful addict.

..... and put 6 yr old girl tassels on their bikes.... That's one "styling feature" I have never understood...
