For those of you that haven't gone there yet - you are missing out! Switching from EBC1 to EBC3 helps keep the engine from slowing your corner entry speed - leaving it all up to your brain and 1 or 2 fingers on your right hand.

The rear does get a bit lighter under heavy braking, but nothing unmanageable. You will also oversteer your first few corners while getting used to it, but if I were told I could have the power of a 1200cc v-twin and the ride of a 750cc V4 with this setting I'd have jumped on it immediately.

Experiment and enjoy!

My riding buddy Cloner has told me so. I'll have to experiment this weekend;)

I remember my 1098 tricolore having a see-saw engine-braking effect when I went on/off the throttle as smoothly as I could on corner entry to downhill off-camber decreasing-radius turns. EBC3 completely removes this issue for the Pani! It also makes 15mph switchbacks (15mph marked, you'll do more like 40-50mph) more fun in 2nd gear.

it's not a 1 setting thing...

EBC 3 does all is said it does.

things that inlfuence the setting is gearing and the track...

the shorter the gearing, the higher the EBC... 14/42 = between 2 and 3 ... 14/39 ... 2 will be more of steady choice...

this in combo with the track

the more sweeping the track, the higher the EBC ... the tighter the turns ( pe : lots of chicanes) , EBC 2 will help you stay tighter and steadier...

I tried EBC3 today, up from 2 and really like it for my mountain twisties.

It helps the bike/me carry more corner entry speed and makes my naughty throttle on-off-on mistakes less pronounced.

Net result for me is smoother riding, which helps my confidence.

I should also say that I'm a 195Hi addict, which gets a little choppy at the best of times.
