Hi guys,
Anyone knows If It's possible to bypass the key and put a simple switch ? I'm new to Ducati and On my S1000RR race bike, I jus had to tape the key with the key detector ring and hide It. Then bypass the wires to a on/off switch ...
Also, I could purchase from Alpha racing for my BMW, all the fault plugs for things you remove for a race bike ( kickstand, headlights, flashers ... )
Something like this available somewhere for the Panigale V4 ?

All of what you're looking for is available for the xx99 bikes. It will be for the V-4 soon if not already. I would venture to say that you could use the current products. All the racers on here could point you in the right direction. Phl, Styler, Jarel this is your cue!

I'm sure Bike Sport Developments will have a kit out at some point, but as the wiring and CAN is completely different on the V4 it may take a little while before the more complex racing parts are available.

I just got one, exactly as you mentioned for my 899 from apex racing development. Im sure they will have one for the v4 eventually. Im very satisfied with the quality of mine and would recommend.

Sorry, don't know. But I have found some gripes with the apex development one I have. Would be good to check with the company if this has similar issues. 1, the milage of my bike is no longer shown. I'm sure its in there somewhere if i hook up the ducati computer but it's stopped showing. Furthermore, it doesn't remember settings. If I leave it on certain settings, it always reverts to the setting it was last on before i installed it. Pretty annoying, i think it's because it shuts the power down straight away instead of that weird electrical sound you normally hear powering down after turning off the key.

BSD announced recently that they have the race switches designed for the V4 now, which means they have the electronic control interface mapped, those will be available soon and it's possible they'll do a race ignition switch for the V4 also. So nothing concrete yet, but looking more positive.

Thanks for the info !

It allows you to start & run the bike without a key. It is mainly used for track & race use.

Nice! Then that would be a hella of an upgrade for street use too as a convenience thing. I assume it will allow for some sort of wireless verification like for the Multistrada key fob. Or it's just a simple bypass that means that anybody can start the bike?

Anybody can start, probably not the best street use.

Thanks for this info. I just ordered the Apex 5 button left and three button right race only switches. I will make sure to have my preferred settings set before switching.
Weird about the mileage thing.
