Got to ride the legendary Laguna Seca this past Sunday. It was my first time on the track with the 1299 and I couldn't have had a better time out there. The flow of the track with all of its elevation changes made it the most fun I've ever had at a trackday.

All of my GoPro vid files were corrupt except for one. Enjoy!

awesome video! dream of mine to ride that track, but i think a 4 thousand mile round trip makes it a bit unrealistic...lol

Laguna Seca

Thanks for the video! You have reenergized my desire to go to Laguna.
Any problems meeting the noise restrictions? I worry about that with my 1199/full Termi. If the 1299 passes with stock exhaust, I may have to get one.:)

Awesome! ...but I'm jealous as that's my dream track to ride as well. I'm also surprised to hear that you passed the noise restriction.

I was there 5 days before this chap, and I also run a full Termi system.

Upshift at T5 and keep it below 7k and you're fine. I got booted at the end but only because I blasted through there on the last session of the day.

Also, I ran the insert on the right side.

I didn't get flagged one time. I was shocked lol just like dynasty said, I lugged it in 4th gear as I approached T6

Haha I did the same thing on the last session of the day too. The guy in the tower wasn't monitoring sound on the last session.

I can't wait to go back...the track was phenomenal

How was the weather? It was freezing when I was there! Also rained a fair bit.

I am excited to go back next year. I posted a 1:48 which was my best time in the two days, but I can do better in dry+warmer conditions.

I'm pretty worried about noise restrictions with my front-exit Termis; no db-killers. Might have to slap that heavy-... stocker back on if I get booted, although the local tracks here allow 103db.

Does it mean I play too many video games in that not only do I have that track completely memorized, but have lines picked out that I'd try to take, and I've never physically ever been near the place? :p

If that's the case, I know the entire GP track lineups by memory. I play MotoGP 2015 on PS3 and took all 3 class titles so I've put in a ton of laps in the game. Theoretically, I should be able to beat all the top riders in real life. I should also be able to beat them by 16 seconds at Indy, 8 seconds at Chech Republic and 10 seconds at Sachsenring. That's it....I'm gonna turn pro next season! :)

Super fun and challenging game.

Great video! Looks like a ton of fun! Looks like it's on the list...next year....

The weather was perfect man. 65-70* all day. Not a cloud in the sky. I was running in the 1:40's as well

Killa you're off the r1/6 forum right?... How much is a track day there if you don't mind me asking?

Nice vid btw

Haha yes I am..went to the dark side :D
I rode with Letsride and it was $275. Pricey but so worth it. I've never had a stock exhaust so I could never make it out there. The $4-5,000 price tag on the 1299 exhausts keeps me in check and eligible for Laguna hahaha

Great vid. Laguna Seca and Philip Island are my two dream tracks that will be super hard to ever ride.
