This is on the right side of the bike too. As shown in pic it seems oily I'm not sure if that's just lubricant for that area but doubt it

Hard to tell where the leak is from this picture, which you have inverted. At worst it looks like oil has weeped out from the cam cover over the top of the cylinder head. Interestingly, unless I am mistaken, your rear lambda sensor or plug lead (whichever one it is) appears to be mis-routed, it should pass behind the rear subframe and into the RH electical box. Then again, as I said its not easy when the image is orientated this way.

Yes it's a leak, borderline weep.

I have a lesser one in the same position, and an equivalent one at the rearward "D".
Probably the equivalent of about a couple of drops per day at worst.

Do not clean it off until your dealer's service staff has seen the leak.
Then they will fix it under warranty for you as it's a know problem.
There are replacement gaskets available which are improved over the original design and supersede the originals.

what is this called called? ill go see my delear soon and tell them. i have these pics anyway as evidence

Hey didnt they put heat covers over that so u wont notice it weeping if it was?

My '12 Tri's got the same leak, with oil splatter on the black metal shield aft of the cylinder head. Hopefully bike's not out of commission too long....
