So finally I'm about to start my exhaust project. Finally got my tig welder. So it's going to start out stainless and then be finished into ti later this year. Just waiting on some metal to show up. But what I want to discuss is manifold length. These motors obviously respond to the longer manifold. 330mm I think is the termi wsbk system? Correct me if I'm wrong. Now would 360, 370, 380mm be better? Why?? Obviously the more recent akra wsbk system changed things. I already have a couple different lengths and designs drawn up. Please comment if you actually have knowledge on this. Thanks for the input!

if an xtra 30mm or 50mm would b better, then why wouldnt wsbk team just do that?

You have to understand basic fundermentals, exhaust system is one area where it really
Comes down to Dyno & Track if you use a software program it will not match what is being used due to packaging and rideability

Note how the rear pipe O/D is quite a bit larger than the front due to all it's bends
which is a greater restriction compared to the relative straight shot of the front pipe
which on the Term' & Akra full system are very close to tuned length, when they make
The rear Cyl near identical they then have to increase its OD to match the front pipe air
flow due to all of its necessary bends
I'll post some pics I've collected so you can see what I'm talking about
I'd make proto in mild steel why waste the money of expensive material
It will take several goes before you would have a good system

how would this FM project exhaust measure up?

1199R factory kit full Term'
V SSTK long header kit, +150mm
Note how front is near identical to the
WSBK front, the rear is where all the work is needed.

Great underside view of Chaz bike Phillip Island, looks like they have the 2-1
On the RH side of the engine sump with just 1 look-a-like muffler unlike last years 2 muffler system, then around sump up to the outlet can on top LH side almost inline & opp' of rear shock res'

Perfect. Good info. I'm just gonna start with stainless it's cheap enough. Any idea what gauge some of the stainless systems are?? 18? 20?
