Hi all,

Like the tittle says, the time for a change is coming, there’s always a time when we have to stand up and say;

“I’m fed up with my life, it’s time for a change!!!”

Let’s make a long story short, I’ve been working on the IT industry for the past 16 years, I’ve gone through several jobs in this area, these are just a few to mention…

- Field Engineer (servers, storage, backup devices, SAN…)
- Remote Support Engineer
- Storage Admin
- Storage Consultant
- IT Consultant

There would be a lot to say about this, but the truth is, this no longer drive me nuts!!! And I don’t want to be the kind of guy that almost crawls to work for one more miserable day!!!

What am I looking for right now? A career change, a new job opportunity.
In which area? Well, this is easy, I want something that thrills me, like motorcycles (salesman, or costumer management) or working for airline company as a cabin crew (don't care if it's a small company or not).

If anyone who knows some opportunity in these areas please let me know.

Thanks to all that have spent some time reading this post.

Ride safe.

PS. I forgot to mention, I'm 35 years old... in the case age is an issue. :)

Look into getting involved with Dorna. They frequently have some IT related job openings.

Working with Dorna would be nice... but not on IT area... :)

IT is not driving me nuts. Time to change from IT. :)

Your mentally is really awesome and adventurous. I know how you feel, mechanical life is really boring. New stuff will make us a better person and job is a big part of it. I agree that you pursue your dreams! However, in break with many retailers, Costco's CEO states he supports President Obama's call to boost the minimum wage. But while the President wants to increase it to $9 an hour, Costco would let it go even higher, to $10.10 an hour.

Good luck. I was frustrated with my company and job last summer. At 60 years old I didn't figure the odds where good that I would be able to make a change making the kind of money I was making (good money). But rather than sit on my ... and not be happy or hard working for the next six years, I decided to try to find something. Fortunately I had some good contacts, and two weeks before my 61st birthday I started at a new company doing a different job (but same industry and related to my background).

Four months later I could not be happier. You are wise to make something happen for yourself to get out of a job you are not happy with.

Let's see what the future will bring. :)

For now, I'm fighting for a change. A change in my job and perhaps changing country.

US, is an option so is Australia.

You've got the IT background and are old enough to be taken seriously - build up a specialization in information security. Best mix of minimal hours/max money. You won't be able to buy a Veyron, but it's a great field because the work is so exciting. Like constantly-evolving arms race exciting.
