I installed the gas cap today but it seems off. It is not flush and one side seems higher than other. Anyone have this cap?

Looks good to me. Make sure each bolt is tightened equally, just don't tighten each one individually all at once. Just tighten a little at a time in a circular pattern.

Did you put the green rubber gasket on correctly that goes between the tank and the lightech aluminum base? There is a slot where the gasket goes only one way. If you did line this green gasket up is likely shifted when you turned the aluminum base upside down to install it. I put a very very small dab of glue in 2 or 3 spots to hold the gasket in place while upside down. I agree though it should be a little more flush than that. Your green gasket may also be upside down causing excess clearance...but I agree it looks a little off.

Try what I suggested and let us know :)

Appreciate the response!

Funnily enough I suspected the rubber gasket too, but the pics you see are actually what it looks like without the gasket installed. It is even higher with it on!

Interesting...are you sure you are not using any of the stock parts except the green gasket? make sure the tank surface where the base connects to is clean also..other than that it may be how it is. I don't remember mine being flush but I also don't remember it being super protruding...did you put that black gasket on correctly that sits between the lightech base and the black lightech upper ring?
