Lightweight Alternator

Ducati 899 Panigale Lightweight Alternator Kit - Pro Italia Motorcycles

Thoughts? Can't find any specs out there, but 2.2lbs of rotating mass is huge. That's almost as much as I lost swapping my chain and sprockets....

That's just the 1199 alternator kit to install in an 899 to drop the weight. DON'T buy this for your 1199, it's already in there!

So they even put a heavier alternator in the 899

Yup. 899 is designed to be the "more sensible" superbike. Heated gloves and jackets need power.

Probably didn't want it to rev "too" quick for the average rider!

Well that's good. Next winter I might do an engine build with the 'R' rods and flywheel, or something similar. Just cause....

I can't wait to put my bike on a scale soon I'm pretty sure it will be SL weight once I get those damn Marchesini wheels...
