1. Flat screwdriver to remove the factor seat cover staples. Once removed, pull off the factory seat cover.
2. Sharpie marker to line up the gel and mark the cuts to the foam.
3. Scissors
4. WD40 (spray the scissors so the gel does not stick to them when cutting)
5. utility knife with a long blade. I marked the foam in the shape of the gel, then cut it right down to the belly pan. This allows you to remove the foam in one piece. Then, on the piece just removed, I used a long sharp utility knife blade to shave the top of the foam off (remove just the thickness of the gel).
6. 3M upholstery spray glue. Spray the bottom of the exposed belly pan and glue the original foam insert back in (the one with the top approx. 1/2" removed).
7. Stick the gel into the cutout section. It is self-adhesive. It should sit flush with the surrounding foam. If not, you did not shave the foam underneath properly.
8. Spray the entire seat foam and gel with 3M upholstery spray glue.
9. Stick the supplied black seat foam over the whole seat. Stretch it mildly as you are gluing it down. Take scissors and trim off any excess around the seat bottom.
10. Stretch the supplied new seat cover over the seat. It does not need to be glued down and I would not recommend gluing it.
11. Air stapler - I used an air stapler to staple the underside of the seat cover to the plastic seat pan (the same way the factory seat cover was attached). Stretch the cover pretty good so you don't get wrinkles and so it does not move.
12. Install on the bike and enjoy a job well done!
