Engine warning light came and ECU yellow light came on yesterday, note I just fitted slip ons lately and it does fire up different than before, ie starts fires, shuts down and I start it again and its fine, before just starts up and runs.
I had it checked out at the dealer and the faults came were Vertical MAP sensor fault, Exhaust valve calibration and potentiometer fail.
The exhaust valve cable I have had disconnected for a while without as warning light coming up, so I don't see how now that would throw a light now!
MAP sensor, OK but wouldn't it run rough if that had failed or was not sensing air pressure?, it runs fine.
I will take it to the dealer in the winter but curious if anyone else has come across this.

I believe the MAP sensor is only used below 20% throttle. Above 20% mapping uses throttle, RPM and speed. So if the Vertical MAP has failed, and assuming that mapping reverts to a base case and that you're at or near sea-level, then it may be difficult to feel/hear. Plus, you say you're having some initial stalling issue so that may be a "tell" pointing towards the MAP failure.

Interesting I read on a Diavel forum that if one fails it takes the reading off the second, if both fails its has a fixed parameter setting, as Lighting wrote, I think what caused this is when I fired up the bike with the new slip ons it back fires and cuts out, with the MAP sensor having a membrane I wonder if the back fire pressure blew it. I will fit a new one its not so much cash, one thing I tried I did notice that disconnecting the other one the bike ran rougher than normal.
To cure the back fire I guess a tune from a pro!
