Guess these were basically 2016 bikes in 2017 colors. 2016 fairing as well - no new fairing until Qatar.

from what i understood is that the development of the GP17 has already been completed until valencia. - meaning head start for them. not sure if fairing / design changes are essential to make it a new gen.

It's been completed but not on display for the presentation. The 2017 bikes were literally just down the hall. Ducati isn't going to give away their aerodynamic changes until the first race. Which makes sense given the new fairing homologation rules.
