Delighted to introduce to you my Base model 1199 ABS! She arrived Thursday, and just back from a magic spin on her now.

She smoked slightly when first started, not a whisp of smoke since!

She's set to F, which is making her uncomfortable on bumpy irish roads (TC light comes on everytime rear wheel leaves the ground). Will sort it out at first service!

The difference in responsiveness between 195 Hi and Lo is very noticeable, I have it switched to Hi in sport mode! Accidentally overrevved to 7k twice when shifting from 4th to 5th which upset me but seems to happen a bit on them.

The only thing that has annoyed me about this bike is the fact it didn't come with a chain adjustment tool... Outrageous to not include something so vital... I'm 250 miles from the Ducati dealer and he has kindly just popped one in the post for me... Poor form though by Ducati!

Where is the connection point on the bike for maintenance charge? The diagram in the manual might as well not be there, no idea what area its facing!

All in all though it's a fantastic bike to ride, the handling, the throttle, the NOISE... Ive wanted a Ducati since I first saw the 916 as an 8 year old... Im so glad I went for this and not an 1198sp as had been the plan!

Hope ye all get yours soon!

Congrats. Love the pics in the crate.

I'm sure your digging it more that it's out of the crate, and out on the road..:D

Nice pictures.

I've got the same one as you. She arrived at the dealers yesterday and I went to see her today. Looks great, and I really love the red front mudguard too.

Enjoy!

I've been fine waiting for 9 months since I put down my deposit. But , since the dealer called and said it's coming this week , I'm frikkin loosing it !

Charge point is also the diagnostic port .... its under your tool kit :)

I haven't actually tried 195-Hi yet ..... but will do!!

Congratulations, Jofass!

Keep us posted with your perceptions and experiences.

Cheers
