I had my Termi system coated by Zircotec before the bike was delivered in black ceramic, within minutes of stopping you can touch the pipe so it must help the heat although most of it seems to actually come from the rear cylinder. In addition the bike has the DP screen, Evotech tail tidy, GB Racing covers, Evotech levers, DP comfort seat, DP hugger and shock cover. Black Gilles rearsets are on pre-order.

200miles in having picked her up on Tuesday, used no oil so far, no smoke and runs nice and cleanly below 5000rpm. I am in love.

Yes full system. There is meant to be performance advantage with the coating too due to the scavenging effects of keeping the heat in.

Nice bike...i had my Ceramic Coating from Jet Hot. Very nice finished. Will put it on after breaking in.

To be honest, i prefer the standard steel look.
Now the pipes are black, they don't realy stand out on the bike and are more 'camouflaged', just my 2 cents.
The painting however is well done, looks nice so i can imagine you are happy with it :)

I like them black, looks different and once the black rear sets go in it will all tie in nicely. Not to everyones taste but thats ok, personally I think most bike modification is done fairly tastelessly.

The black does look good with the red, plus it makes the bike a bit more individual.
With the Black rearsets it WILL tie in nicely and I look forward to seeing it.

How do you like the full system? I'm assuming you mainly use the bike for street use. Do you feel any difference at lower rpm ranges?

It was fitted from new so no idea how it compares, sorry. I like the sound and the bike is fast;)

Will get pictures of mine up as well.

As some may recall, I sent the Termis pipes off to Jet-Hot for their Extreme 1300 coating and had them polished.

I posted pics of the coated pipes off the bike in the members' photos section.

This past Friday I finally got them installed and I think they look great.

They sound just a little deeper having lost that sort of "tinny" sound of the stockers. And they are not appreciably louder at idle but sound like they probably are at highway speeds.

The biggest and most noticeable difference - and it is definitely noticeable - is the reduction in heat. I wore jeans today because it was a little warm outside and was thrilled at the level of radiated heat reduction.

I haven't had the chance to get a thermal gun on it but it feels like half (subjective opinion only) of what it was with the uncoated stock pipes.

I am, so far, 100 % satisfied with the results. And, I have to say they looking great from the rear too with the bright finish contrasting against the dark CF heat shield.

Pics maybe tomorrow...

Where exactly can I find pics of your bike with the Jet Hot coating? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. The polished headers look great.

Question for you:
Is there some discoloration on the front of the long exposed header section or is that dirt? (sorry to pick that out of the pictures) Did you have them coat the interior of the pipes as well? The interior looks like naked stainless. I spoke to Jet Hot today and the gentleman told me coating the interior cuts the temps by 25%. He explained to me the high temp ceramic goes on first then they apply color. They are coming out with 13 new colors mid August. Thank you for your response.

I own a 2012 Monster 1100 Evo and had JetHot coat the stock headers and along with the brackets on the twin Termi Carbon Fiber cans flat black. Looks great but I had my dealer handle the transaction.

Glad you were able to find the pictures.

Yes, there was some over spray of Honda Cleaner/Polisher that got on the pipe. It looks sort of speckled brown on the front part of the long horizontal pipe.

It "cooked" on riding it home from the installation.

I waited for the bike pipes to cool down completely then took a wet cotton cloth with a little bit of Dawn dish detergent on it and wiped the stuff right off - took about 30 seconds for it to come off and left no scratches or dulling at all.

They are coated inside and out and the outside is polished. I thought about coloration but opted out. I am probably going to send my stock pipes to them as well and hold them in reserve.

Very pleased with the service, product and so far, performance.

My point of contact with Jet-Hot was: Jeff Howell, Inside Sales. Let him know that you saw the work they did for me - don't know that it will get you anything off the price but perhaps if he knows there may be more coming to from this forum - he just might be willing to negotiate a deal.

To my knowledge, I was the first with the 1199 pipes but if others have had their pipes coated or are interested he may be even more inclined to offer some discount.

It's worth a shot.

Cheers

Jet-Hot Ceramic Coatings

I know you have tried to explain the difference between slip-ons alone and full system. The price difference quoted by my dealer is about $1,300. Does it provide any low-end boost? Does it sound throatier? Is it obnoxiously loud? I wear ear plugs anyways but still love my Termi's on the Monster. I guess I just need someone to say it's worth the extra $1,300 for the full system.

Well...

I have the full system and immediately noticed the "flat spot" around 4k disappeared when the stock system was removed. I expect this may also be the case for just replacing the cans but can't speak to that. The additional size in header bore/diameter may be a contributing factor here but defer to others for their observations.

The exhaust valve and its actuator motor are removed with both full system and slip-on cans and this has also been associated with improved low-end performance.

There is also a weight savings to be had. It's relatively minor but there are some here who believe saving ounces on the bike is going to make a realizable difference in the lap times - it likely isn't for me and probably most of us but I'm no one to comment on riders far more skilled than I so I'll leave that for another discussion. My tech and I calculated - very roughly, that changing out the stock system for the full one and the loss of the exhaust valve and actuator motor may have saved on the order of 6 to 7 pounds. I fully expect this figure to be disputed. But as I said, the realization of performance value from whatever weight saved is probably imperceptible to me and negated by the what I eat and drink anyway.

Sound with the full system is a bit deeper and throatier - if those adjectives help. I found the stock system, in comparison to be rather tinny sounding so am pleased to be rid of that sound. The amplitude/volume at idle seems to be only slightly louder, if at all. I also have the full Termi system on my S4RS Monster and love that sound - but on that bike the Termis are most definitely deeper AND louder. The Monster will set off car alarms - the Panigale has not yet done that.

So, in the end, these are my observations so I can't tell you if it is worth it to you. I like the look, sound and I believe there is improved performance in that the ~4k flat spot is gone.

And, I wear earplugs too. After nearly 40 years of riding - I wish I'd starting wearing them much earlier. For what that's worth.

Cheers
