OK guys, I think my Panigale is the best choice of a superbike, and I am in love with it.
But, I think it still lacks some things from other litters.
Is that fixable? I would say yes, for sure, either with an existing solution or with a third party taking the challenge to produce the stuff.
Here are my missing stuff, borrowed from other litters:
BMW S1000RR
- Fork stem cap: there is this ugly hole in my fork stem, and I don't like it. BMW has a removable cap on it with BMW logo. I would gladly have a Ducati (Corse or not, good to have the choice) cap for the fork stem of my Panigale.
- Heated grips: while I know most US people only ride three months a year, in Europa, we ride all year, and I still remember my blue hands after a night at -10°C doing 180kp/h in order to come home faster with my aluminum grips. Multistrada has got such heated grips, and the Panigale could have some removable too for winter season, since the best gloves can't do it all.
MV Agusta F4RR
- Teacher handbag: one of my income is teaching, and it would make my life easier to be able to use the proper bag to school. Something you could attach on the tank, like this clever one: MV Agusta, Borsa 24h tracolla da serbatoio Brutale/F4
Ducati performance alarm wire
- I really want to like the Scorpio rLink, and while on one hand I am unsure if it could be useful in France, I am on the other sure that their Panigale connector is a joke: 2012 PANIGALE
I mean, Ducati has produced the proper wire for their own alarm, and it would just be the matter to reverse engineer some wires to produce their own for the Scorpio rLink, with light flashing and all. There's no technical difficulty about it, just pure greed and laziness, which is unacceptable from an alarm manufacturer. Because if they didn't do the proper job for such a basic stuff like that, I can't imagine how badly designed the more complex parts of their product are, and thus can't rely on such a lazy manufacturer, especially for a such expensive product. And yet, people still say Ducati Performance is expensive...
iPhone
- When it comes to GPS and radar detector, you can't beat the iPhone which does it all. But that asks for energy, and thus need to be connected to the bike battery. What about a cable connected to the back connector under the passenger seat, using stock connector, to produce such an iPhone power cable? With bluetooth earbuds or bluetooth intercom, you'll never get lost or caught by police. Or we could find a way to mod the fuse box, which has got a free slot, in order to connect an iPhone cable there.
I see many third parties building useless parts for the Panigale, so maybe could they also try and produce some of my ideas, if not all, that could easily become best sellers among Panigale owners.
Especially since they aren't really complex stuff to make...
Anyone up to the challenge?
