Hello Panigale racers and track day riders,

MonkeyGripps are urethane coated polyurethane foam tank extensions that provide substantial support for your legs to grip the tank during hard braking and hanging off. We already have 27 bike models available and are going to be releasing High and Low profile versions for the the Panigale in a few weeks. We have been overwhelmed with requests for Panigale MonkeyGripps so we are especially excited for this one. If you have any questions please let me know. Pictures of the High and Low profile versions can be seen at our website.

Overwhelmed and excited, yeah not exactly words most pani owners would use in a sentence about attaching a giant black wart to their bikes

it may be ugly but wait until you feel what it can do! Check out the rider testimonial page on the website.

You coulda sold 1,000 of those week 52 2014

The low profile one looks like it would work amazing

Lil late but great job - I’m sure they will sell : )

The last week of 2014

There are still quite a few guys here that track a V2 tho

Street guys will say what Paul said but the track guys are gonna love your part

I was just saying many have moved on to V4 and you missed those sales

TBH tank covers and foam pads solve most of the grip issues. Whether you like it or not aesthetics matter, these are just toys after all!

For guys that are fast (not squids like myself mine only has one rotor : ) the tank is terrible for braking on 1199. All body weight is transferred to the bars. It’s almost like they put a drag racing tank on a road racing bike???

This part should make a lot of people happy : )

Thanks, I’m hoping lots of racers will find it useful. The tank shape of most Ducatis are so well designed for racing and track riding. It’s so surprising that this tank would be on so many bikes. It looks like it would be absolutely horrible during hard braking and a nightmare for shorter riders while hanging off.

its true, the tanks are slippery. its takes a bit of setting up for your size etc to get it right, but these are street bikes mostly so most people get by with stompgrip. The Deluxe version is a proper tank cover

I haven’t seen any tank covers for the 899/959/1199/1299. Can you point me in the direction of brands that make them? Are they European? Thanks

These are a favorite among racers:

we had such a cover. fixed at the rear with a 2" long bolt/nut at the seat screw hole...
i ..... have mounted this for a friend.
imagine the forces that happen while breaking or hangoff with your full bodyweight.
thinking about it now, i end up at post 1
or similar

They fit closely over the tank so that takes the bulk of the forces, dont think it will be a problem

Is that a crash protection cover? It doesn’t look like it changes the shape of the tank in any beneficial way.
