I have a 2015 Monster 821. The starter always acts like it's about to die. It usually cranks but barely. My battery is only 6 months old and I have the prescribed gel battery. What is the best and strongest battery that I can use?
Thanks

Antigravity has a wide range of Lithium batteries. You can look up the one they say, or measure the biggest size that will fit in your box. They may be the same or different.
The engine should easily start with the battery they say is correct. If it doesn’t, you have another problem. You can do a “starter draw” test to determine if the starter is your problem. Look at all the ground connections and make sure they’re clean and tight. Sometimes the original copper wiring from the battery to the starter is causing to much resistance. If you’re mechanically inclined, you can replace the original main power and ground wires with better silicon wire. Sometimes it’s called “noodle wire” or Race wire. You make your own wires with better connections and heat shrink. This takes a little more skill and knowledge.
If you don’t have a trickle charger, now is the time. Optimate makes one of the best, and you need to make sure it’s for a lithium battery if that’s what you choose. The Optimate 7 is a smart charger that does more than just charge the battery. They also make a black tester/charger that charges any type of battery, and performs electrical test. Optimate also has special testers that will tell you the starter draw and how much the alternator is charging.
